See How Earth Energy Products Are Tested

The short answer

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a lab document that reports what was tested in a product and the results against set specifications. Earth Energy products are third-party tested to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, including screening for heavy metals and contaminants. To get the COA for your specific product, email us your product name and lot number and we'll send the applicable document.

What a COA is โ€” and what it isn't

What is a Certificate of Analysis for a supplement?

A COA is a lab report showing which tests were run on a product and how the results compare to defined specifications. There are different kinds โ€” a raw-material/supplier COA covers an ingredient before manufacturing, while a finished-product COA covers the made product. We're clear about which document applies when we send it.

What does Earth Energy test for?

Testing is done to ISO/IEC 17025 standards and can include identity, heavy metals, microbial safety, and contaminant screening, with the exact panel depending on the product and its risk category. We publish the specific panel that applies to your product with its COA rather than a blanket badge.

Is every batch tested?

We test according to our testing schedule, which can vary by product and risk category rather than a one-size-fits-all claim. If a particular panel isn't run on every lot of a given product, we'll tell you what is โ€” we'd rather be exact than post a universal "every batch, everything" badge that isn't precise.

What does a COA not prove?

A COA verifies testing results for a lot. It does not, by itself, prove clinical effectiveness, guarantee universal safety, or validate every marketing claim.

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation speaks to a laboratory's competence and scope โ€” not to whether a supplement "works." We keep those separate on purpose.

How to request your COA

Two minutes, by email โ€” we'll match your lot to the applicable report.

Email us your product name and lot number:

support@earthenergysupplements.com

Find your lot number stamped on the bottom of the jar or the bottle label near the expiration date. If a report isn't available online yet โ€” a pending upload, a legacy lot, or a third-party restriction โ€” we'll tell you honestly and provide what we can.

Read it with confidence

How to read a COA

The terms you'll see

  • Result โ€” the measured value for a test.
  • Specification / limit โ€” the acceptable range or maximum.
  • Method โ€” the lab procedure used.
  • Unit โ€” e.g., ppm or ppb for heavy metals.
  • LOD โ€” limit of detection; below it, a result reads "not detected."
  • Pass / fail โ€” whether the result met the specification.

A "not detected" result means the test didn't find the substance above the method's detection limit โ€” which is different from a guarantee that it is absolutely absent. That's why we avoid phrases like "heavy-metal free."

Is the COA specific to my lot?

Yes โ€” a lot-specific COA matches your lot number, sample date, report date, and product identity. Always check that the lot on the document matches the lot on your jar.

What if a batch fails specification?

Product that doesn't meet specification is handled through our quality process โ€” investigation, retest or rejection, and release only by the appropriate authority โ€” as supported by our standard operating procedures. We won't describe steps we can't document.

Can I verify the lab's accreditation?

ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is issued by an accrediting body with a defined scope. Where permitted, we can point you to the accreditation reference so you can confirm it independently.

Frequently asked questions

A few honest reasons: the document is pending upload, the lot is a legacy batch, or a third party places restrictions on sharing. In any of those cases, email us and we'll provide what we're able to.

Each COA shows its report date, and we archive older lots. If your document looks dated, it's tied to your specific lot โ€” request the current one for a current lot.

A supplier COA covers a raw ingredient before manufacturing; a finished-product COA covers the made product you buy. They answer different questions, and we'll tell you which one we're sending.

Our support team can help interpret your COA and route detailed questions appropriately. Email support@earthenergysupplements.com and we'll reply, usually within one business day.
